Hello, i have just bought a bmw f30 2012. I got it very cheap and it doesnt have any additional equipment.. my idrive doesnt have any bluetooth or navigation.. in the glovebox is only an aux port without an usb.. i dont know which carplay to get because i dont know if my idrive is nbt or not.. Thanks in advance for any information.

I was in same position as you a few months ago.. Picked one up as a daily to put miles on.. came with the 6.5' small screen no nav nothing...

I picked up a Roadtop MMI box per recommendations of users here and price.. 210$ shipped to my door. There are US based and offer support. All the boxes/brands are pretty much the same thing just finding support and UPdates can be tough if u go the chinese route..

Now to figuring out what Style you have. CIC or NBT Id suggest watching a few youtube videos on how to remove the screen. Its really easy and that will Confirm the connection so that theres no mistakes on the ordering of equipment. ur going to pull it apart either way..
