Late BMW design langauge (what language?) is nothing but a mix of strange elements that have no cohesive language…
Exterior and interior are just awful. What a POS this is! Vomit |

It says 3.9 for the auto and 4.1 for the manual. And that's coming from BMW which we all know are normally underestimated numbers

At least this model is over-tire, as opposed to its predecessor, which was begging for some girth. |

I worry that when comp does come, it'll be auto only. I say that because it's happened with M3/M4, and watching the longer Q&A video, he specifically said getting them to agree to keep manual for this car at all was a struggle in the project.
I think with that in mind, I'm sticking to what I said a year ago..., base manual car for me, please, with maybe an upgraded seat option + carbon roof depending on price.

And ... after months of hating on the leaks myself ......just as I predicted:
Now that it is finally released, I think that it actually looks pretty good. Even the stupid curved screen that I think is a crime on an M car, I like. Thinking of trading my F87 M2C for the new G87. |

Looks wise I think I like the M4 better. I like the M2 side profile, but the sunken grills on the front look weird. The rear is also very fussy. All subjective, of course, but I don't have any emotional reaction looking at the pictures.
Launch colors are also too limited. Is there a mention of Individual colors being available anywhere? Otherwise the package seems pretty good. |

Not sure if it's the lighting or color, but it looks better than the leaked photos.
But 3800 lbs for the 6MT?! That's more than the M3! (unless this is using Euro standards of including driver and cargo)

Watching the longer Q&A video on weight he says something like "but we increased power too" and "we added a lot more standard equipment" lol

Pretty good, but they are limited to make this car too good because of the M3/M4 existence.
An S58, AWD, sub 3500lbs M2 would make it better than the M3/M4, so they'll never do that.
