Water pooling inside f36 gran coupe boot lid
Hi all,
I'm recently having a weird issue starting that in very heavy rain, my 2017 4 series gran coupes boot lid/ hatch appears to be getting water build up inside. This water then begins to pour out when you open the boot out of the left hand side bump stop (see photo). What's weird is then once you start closing the boot again the water really starts to pour out, which makes me think the water is sitting somewhere inside while its shut and building up in heavy rain, then moves around as you open the boot and then as you shut it moves again towards the bump stop area where it pours out the heaviest. I can't see any obvious signs of perished seals or routes it's taking. As it's pouring out the bump stop It would seem it's pooling under the plastic trim as opposed to the boot skin but I can't see a single route the water could go to do this. Does anyone have any experience of this? My potential though is the left hand side rear light on the boot? Cheers! |
