Finally! Now we just need reviews from Throttle House, Savage Geese, and Doug Demuro.

Does anyone else find it weird that everyone wants to compare this to the previous M2/M2C? This isn't an M-car, it's an M-Sport so it's not a direct comparison. Sounds like, for the most part, they liked driving the car, except for the on-center steering feel. Do any of you who already have your cars notice this issue, and is it that bad?

The exhaust sounded pretty aggressive. I've seen some other videos and they didn't sound quite this good. Does Canada get a slightly different exhaust?

Funny thing, I went to their TruCar link just to see if there were any deals on M240's. Not only are there no incentives, but it gave me a price of $1000 over MSRP. I guess getting $500 off of MSRP isn't horrible.

Comparison to the OG M2 makes sense because the price point. Basically saying, "what would you buy with $50k".

My exhaust sounds like that in Sport+ but I also think they put the mic directly over the exhaust tips.

Steering doesn't bother me but I can see what they're saying. However, I wouldn't expect that direct steering feel unless it was an M. That's too harsh for an M-performance IMO.

I see your point. But then you could also compare it to a 2016-2017 F80 M3 too.

The steering worries me a bit now. I don't have anything like they describe in my 340, the closest I can imagine is a 330 G20 loaner I had that felt very "busy", but another G20 340 loaner I had didn't have that same feeling.

The steering feels a little heavy to me, but i'm not experiencing any on-center issues that i'm aware of. I'm sure different tires and sizes make a difference

People want bargains, and not everyone wants an M. Getting a non-M car with M car performance at that price point makes people feel good. I think it's what people have come to expect of M Sport cars; whether it's a good metric or not is another story.

Yeah I made a comment over there asking why the comparison with the M2...let alone the M2CS. Side by side shots make zero sense.

Also these guys driving the car on winter tires does the car no justice.

Exactly. So they shouldn't use an M2C or M2CS as a benchmark. I understand not wanting a full M-Car, but if someone wants full M-car performance they should get a full M-car. No one buys a Mustang Mach 1 expecting the performance of a GT500.

Great point on the tires. However, they still seemed impressed with the handling of the car. It can only be that much better on PS4S's!

I test drove a M240i and did not experience any steering issues like they mention in the review. I felt the steering (in sport) was tighter than my 330i.

On center my 330i has a kind of numbness to it but I got use to that in a day and now it is never anything I even notice or think about.

The comment about the car drifting off the road if you are not paying attention is misguided. I can take my hands completely off the wheel of my 330i and the car will travel in a straight line for as long as any other car will and again I thought the steering in the M240i was better.

I’ve seen most reviews and no one else felt the steering was a “deal breaker”. Nor did I when I test-drove the car.

To be fair though. Steering on the G20 is IMO significantly worse than on the F30. It feels completely disconnected from the road, light, with more dead on center. The G20 has less body roll, though.

It's an M Performance model not M Sport. M sport is just cosmetics. M Performance Models have actual M lite performance touches .

They did say the issue is only with the 2 series non M cars so I don't think you'll notice it With your 330i.

I am pretty sure the tires play a big role in their complaints about steering feel. They are running 18 inches with bigger sidewall plus winter tires so huge difference in steering feel. It was noticeable in my M235 going between winter tires, A/S run flat and Re71R.

I also think it's tires. I always run 2 sets of wheels and tires with full on 3-peak snow tires. Every vehicle I've had doesn't track nearly as well on snow tires. The steering gets twitchy. There is less traction on dry warm pavement.

I test drove the M240i with the high performance wheels and tires at 70F and steering was perfect. Those were the Michelin summer high perf tires.

The steering feel comment really had me a bit concerned earlier myself. I've hoping savagegeese does a review soon.
