Agreed - I think I'll wait for the LCI and if I've still got the itch to get a G87 (and if they address that horrendous iDrive kickstand) then maybe I pull the trigger then

I think I can squeeze several more years of enjoyment out of my 2021 M2C for now

Yeah if I was in an M2C I would wait as well it's going to be interesting to see how these compare long-term. I also don't think the LCI will have any interior changes probably small tune and exterior cosmetics.

Exactly. Same here, I can enjoy my 2019 M2C for another 4 years and then grab the G87 LCI. If I upgrade my home to a 3 car garage then I might keep both!

Yes that's my dream to drive a silent, heavy, single gear transmission 2.2 ton pile of pretentiousness.

Im thinking allocations will be short and demand will be through the roof. As a result, dealers who have accepted deposits written at MSRP, if they honor that, will slide these folks down the list as they collect msrp+ from those who come after and are willing to pay.

I don't understand why Ft Lauderdale won't take a deposit, how secure is this list? Will they actually call you when allocations pop or will they give the cold shoulder when someone offers 10k+MSRP??

The more I see the more I am thinking I may wait and give up my #1 slot. It will all depend on how it turns out and what's available out of the gate.

Same. If everything we've heard so far regarding colors, seats, etc is true, I'll likely pass for now. Unless it looks amazing in flesh and price isn't too high for my spec.

I think it is alway smart to wait (even though it is easier said than done). I am sure more color options (exterior and interior) will come available down the road. I think in another thread someone posted that BMW may be doing this to steer buyers to the M3/M4 (more money). I can see that and understand why BMW would want to do that as at the end of the day, they want to make money.

I am really excited to see this car in the flesh though. Some of the pics of its stance are really nice. I like the look but I think out of the gate, the options may be lacking.

My hesitancy in waiting comes from the fear that later iterations will have some sort of hybridization. That may be an unsupported fear, I recognize. But current color/interior/seat choices are making me hesitant to order out of the gate.

First world problems.

Yeah, I hear you on that (I own an electric car). If that does happen then I will pass and pick up something else as the amount of money I am willing to pay for this car will also allow me to pick some nice alternatives even if they are CPO.

CPO G87 (Lol), Cayman GTS 4.0, 911, Lotus Emira, AMG GT just to name a few.

There will options for you so no need to worry.

It's too early to upgrade my 2022 G42. I'll wait for LCI. Also curious about L3 autonomous and how/if it will work partially with manual cars.

The only time BMW will add new colors/options would be the LCI.

The #1 guy at my dealer for the new M2 is paying 20k over! These people are just crazy! Give it a year or two and these will discounted.

Spec your # 1 allocation, take delivery, drive for a 1000 miles or less and flip it if you do not like it. You will profit, that much is all but guaranteed.

I don't think they will be…This push to hybrid and EV is going to keep demand for ICE sports cars (Especially with a manual transmission) pretty high.

I'm number one at my dealer and I have in writing @ MSRP. Sounds like that guy needs to find a new dealer

I'm about 90% sure I'm gonna pull my deposit. I'm going to see a 2019 GT350R in 2 weeks and put a "good faith" payment on it this week.

Just have a feeling the options for the new M2 are gonna be limited and the price for a good spec is gonna be mid $70's anyways which I'd rather look at something else entirely at that pricing

They said the same about the out going M2C but again time will tell.

Great but with-in NY&NJ its a bit harder to find. That said I'm on the list (5th) for MSRP but I have bought quite a few BMWs. Matter of fact I'm waiting on my 23 M340i as we speak
