BMW 335is Front Lip spolier question?

Hi All,

I'm wanting to get a carbon fiber front lip spoiler for my 2011 335is.

I'm wondering if any of you know if the BMW Performance one will fit the IS

It lists that it does, but I want to know if anyone else has had any experience with this particular one.

http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/29...M-SPORT-BUMPER

I do not like the CPS style... don't like how much is extends out from the front of the car.

Dig the style of the one on this IS, I don't know which one it is. Looks like it could be the BMW Performance one, though.

I have the BMW M Performance carbon fiber rear deck spoiler, and it fit with no problems at all.

Thanks for the feedback!

Does not say if it's an exact fitment or if you have to mod. the bumper.

Yes, M-Tech is correct, with added intakes, again... Stock on the IS.

I've got my answer as far as the front lip spoiler, going with Kerscher.

Be sure to post pics. I'm thinking about getting that one when this snow melts

Will do. I'm actually in between this one, and the BMW M Performance one. I really don't want to drill holes in my bumper. There's a guy at a local BMW dealer that works there, he has an 2011 M3 with the BMW lip spoiler and it looks very good. He said it was easy to install.

I have the BMW performance one on my IS and get compliments on it all the time. Fitment is spot on since it is a BMW part.

as is said the perf one fitment is perfect and easy to fit but you will have to drill holes for it to fit, if you do remove it later the holes will not be visible. its not an enormous part and does appear rather expensive but it is a 1st class quality item and you have the assurance that it wont be detrimental to handling etc. I always go with oem parts and always satisfied with them

I have the Perf. Front Lip on mine and it was a easy install! Looks great too, not too invasive.

Did you guys buy from a BMW dealer? I see Turner Motorsports has it for about $70 less than what BMW is charging.

How did you attach yours?

Thanks!

I got mine used from a member here about a year ago. I attached it with the OEM screws. It will definitely put holes in the front bumper but, they are back far enough to where you cannot see it. I have seen people permanently Beta Link it, as well as 3M Double Sided Auto Tape.

I used 3M on my CF Perf Spoiler and it holds really well. When I installed the rear spoiler, I had laid microfibers across the trunk and set a few 25lb bags of gravel on the spoiler for several hours to make sure I had a nice bond. Not sure how I would do that with the front lip since it would be upside down?..lol Goodluck

LOL, yeah, I used 3M for my CF Perf rear spoiler as well, but did not weight it down with anything. Just a little pressure will bond it just fine. It's been holding up solid.

A guy at a local shop put his front lip spoiler on with 3m, and he's had no problems. I'll consult with him before I attach it.
