LCI adaptive headlights retrofit on non adaptive pre lci xenon and frm2 AHL
Hello Colleagues,
Since there is no such topic for this particular retrofit, I decided to write to you. In this topic I will tell you how to connect SA524 Adaptive Facelift Headlights and FRM 2 AHL On a car that only has xenon SA522 and automatic headlights and wipers and FRMfa XE The required parts are: 63117240263 Left Headlight LCI adaptive 63117240264 Right Headlight LCI adaptive 61359159809 Headlight module with cornering function FRM 2 AHL For coding I used Protool, but it also works with NCS expert Description of the socket of the two headlights of Pre lCI Xenon Headlight and Module FRMfa XE LOOK THE ATTACHMENT left right headlight/ FRMfa headlight FRMfa pin pin connector pin pin connector Description of the pins 1 50 x14261 1 8 x14260 left/right headlight parking light 2 gnd - 2 gnd - ground 3 6 x14260 3 38 x14261 Left/right headlight low beam 4 gnd - 4 gnd - ground 5 41 x14260 5 41 x14260 Left/Right headlight bi-xenon shutter 6 6 x14261 6 4 x14260 left/Right headlight high beam 7 - - 7 - - Empty 8 50 x14260 8 51 x14260 Left/Right headlight beam height control 9 19 x14260 9 32 x14260 Left/Right headlight beam height control 10 15 x14260 10 28 x14260 Left/Right headlight beam height control 11 17 x14260 11 30 x14260 Left/Right headlight beam height control 12 13 x14260 12 40 x14261 Left/Right headlight front right direction indicator Description of the socket of the two headlights of the lCI Xenon Headlight and Module FRM 2 AHL LOOK THE ATTACHMENT left right headlight/ FRM2 ahl headlight FRM2 ahl pin pin connector pin pin connector Description of the pins 1 50 x14261 1 8 x14260 left/right headlight parking light 2 gnd - 2 gnd - ground 3 6 x14260 3 38 x14261 Left/right headlight low beam 4 gnd - 4 gnd - ground 5 41 x14260 5 41 x14260 Left/Right headlight bi-xenon shutter 6 6 x14261 6 4 x14260 left/Right headlight high beam 7 50 x14260 7 8 x14260 3 led 8 - - 8 - - Empty 9 42 x14260 9 42 x14260 Supply, stepper motors 10 25 x14260 10 24 x14260 Signal, LIN bus/left right headlight 11 gnd - 11 gnd - ground 12 13 x14260 12 40 x14261 Left/Right headlight front right direction indicator[/CENTER] As seen in the two tables the difference is in 7 8 9 10 and 11 pin 7 pin of the socket on both PRE/lci headlights is free, you will need some cable and pin for the socket to connect it. You can cut the 8 pin on the headlight and use it to connect the 7 PIN as the 8 pin on the LCi is empty and this cable will not be used anymore 7 pin on headlight socket i recommend you connect it to pin 1 on both headlight sockets For your 3 LED lights to work on the side of the eyebrow of the headlight, otherwise you will have to put cables from the headlight to the Footwell ( FRM ) Module in the compartment, I personally connected them that way and no problem. 11 Pin of the socket on both headlights you must disconnect it and connect it to pin 2 (Ground) on both headlights Summary: change two pins on the socket on both headlights PIN 7 ----------- PIN 1 PIN 11 -------- PIN 2 Next, you need to move the Footwell Module pins to the driver's feet. In the socket with number X14260 (the socket has pin numbering) Pin 19 and pin 32 of the FRM module must be connected to each other and be connected to Pin 42 Pin 15 should go to pin 25 (pin 25 is empty) Pin 28 should go to pin 24 (pin 24 is empty) A communication cable must be added on 44 and 43 pins that must reach the glove box in the JBE module On 1 and 2 pins Pin 44 of FRM2 Ahl connects to Pin 1 of the JBE module X14271 connector (there is a cable already inserted there and you need to connect to it) Pin 43 of FRM2 Ahl connects to Pin 2 of the JBE module X14271 connector (there is a cable already inserted there and you need to connect to it) After you have already modified all the cables and pins, you need to code the car You need to add in VO extra with number $524 and write in Cas Module and FRM module Then Frm module with year #0307 and SG codiren with empty Man file should be recoded I won't go into details about the coding as there are already threads about it hope it help Last edited by bamaboy_; 01-09-2023 at 04:29 AM.. |

Thank you brother. But I have a doubt. Pin 8 on the right connector is connected to 51 of the FRM. Then you need to connect pin 8 to pin 7 of the right headlight connector. Is it not necessary to also change FRM pin 51 to pin 8?

bump.
Followed this DIY tutorial, and it was the easiest one over all e90post DIY post and it works. I had a ''parking light'' bulb out warning, but not sure if it was because of my LED angel eye of a issue with the wiring. Coded out the warning, all good. levelling and the directional projectors are now working. (which didnt worked with a simple LCI headlight plugged into a pre-lci car, but everything else worked tho) Side note : X14271 are not in the same position for all cars, the .doc document attached is not in the same position as mine. Side note 2 : to have Angel eye as DRL I had to use ''side markers'' since now side marker and angel are connected together . Last edited by oVeRdOsE.; 08-08-2024 at 09:54 AM.. |
