Order Tracking question: what comes after "...complete; waiting to be released..."
I've been patiently tracking my car and based on the 800-number my current status is:
"Vehicle production is complete. Waiting to be released to the carrier." In reviewing posts on tracking, I wasn't able to determine if I can continue to track the location and status of my car via the 800-number, or if I need to look elsewhere (such as http://www.2wglobal.com/www/wep/index.jsp ). Can anyone elaborate on the remaining statuses I can look forward to hearing and where I can keep track of those (if other than the 800-number). Thanks! |

mine is in the same process. now you wait until it gets on the ship, then check your VIN on that website and it should show the ship it is on. It should take 13-19 days for the ship to get to port, then it needs to be transported to the vehicle prep center, and then your local dealer. I'm guessing it should be another 4 weeks for my car, but I don't really know. It's been about 4 weeks since I placed my order.

I honestly don't remember the date. (Had been dealing with a salesguy when I initially thought I was going to get a 530xi and then backed out to wait for the 330xi). Think it was in mid-July...
