stall issue EKP 6293

2010 BMW 328I N51 manual
while driving at 40mph or above the car stalls. Orange car on a lift service light on the dash. Car will not start long crank.
I unhook Negative battery terminal for a few seconds hook it back up. The car starts again.
I am getting Code Ekp 6293.6292
code read with Bavarian code reader
I replaced the fuel pump a few months ago but problem is still there ?
Any help cant . I cant seem to find anything on these codes except for a pump hose not hooked up on a you tube viedo but my car runs and drives so its not that.

The EKP is the fuel pump control module. Possibly it has gone bad.

I concur... replace EKP and do a complete coding of vehicle. As long as your fuel pump assembly is ok and was installed properly that is...

Is the fuel pump assembly OEM? Were all the hoses connected properly to fuel pump assembly..

THANK YOU FOR THE QUICK RESPONSE

When this first happened i did not realize that you could unhook battery. I had the car towed to my home. Next morning car started right up no issue. I didn't think anything of it. Weak battery maybe so i replaced it. Then 2 weeks later it happens again had it towed to local Euro garage. They said fuel pump was going but car started. I took it home replaced pump assembly. Now its a month later same issues. I did realize after being stuck the 3RD time if i unhooked battery the car would start.
The fuel pump is under the rear passenger seat . I replaced entire unit with OME. Nothing strange or difficult about the swap. Everything was a clip or click connection. No hose clamps or anything like that to remove or replace.
Where is the EKP unit located ?

+1 as well. would love to know what to spend money on fixing. 6292 and 6293 codes. the stall happens on while engine is hot. crank no start afterwards for 10 minutes -- then she's fine -- no smoke no gas vapor smell. N51 no known maintenance history.

Mine was the fuel pump. I had BMW replace it under the SULEV warranty.

I’m having the the same problem, when I hook it up to ista it’s telling me ekps control voltage is too low and current is too high, it starts up but after about 10-15 mins it stalls out and then I have to wait a long time for it to start back up, the Engine turns over but the car doesn’t want to start. Fuel pump is brand new and oem and I’m still having the same problem

Any fixes on this??

I’m also getting a code 00A559 instrument cluster. Power supply has been switched off (closed-circuit current cutoff relay) it seems like the previous owner messed with the kombi

Any fixes or ideas to what it might be?

I have also heard of a lot of people that had issue with the fuel control module behind the rear passenger seat.
