I was looking at them for the other G8x since the setup is the same for the 87

Also the 963m's are forged - those are the ones I'm looking at. 6000k with discount, mounted on PS4S's with sensors.

That package will subtract another 11kg (24.2lbs) equalling 3668.

I'm not sure how anyone else is getting numbers, but this is pretty straight forward.

If you add in the optional forged wheels at -10lb/corner - you're looking at 3628 ready to go. That's a good chunk different to 3800lbs everyone is griping about.

Did I hit every point?
Also with HAS kit, DP and midpipe or full exhaust we should be right around 3600 if not bit less.

I don't see why they wouldn't be, but we may not know until you get a production number and your sales center tries to add it.

Question is, factory installed as in Mexico. I would say no. Otherwise, what does one mean by factory installed? If at the dealership, I would opt to a place that specializes in performance upgrades.

They will be installed at the VPC, so for me on the west coast, Oxnard, CA.

I really enjoy a 6speed but I think I'll go for auto with the extra bells and whistles that come along with it. More luxurious, plus I can 'pretend' to have a manual whereas I can't pretend to have an auto the other way. If I had other performance cars (M5) then I'd probably opt for the manual as it would be my fun track car, but this is going to be my first factory performance car that won't be used just for the track. I drove a 6speed Camaro SS for a couple years and found it to be laborious after some time. I plan on keeping the car for a bit unless the LCI model hypnotizes me

I'm not sure if the HAS kit drops any weight, but I am damn sure doing a carbon strut brace as well.

This was my wife's first question. "Is this a car I'm going to be able to drive?" No honey. The only reason I want this car is because it's available in a manual.

Haha...I would be sleeping in the car if I tried that with her. I did get her the M240 first, which she loves, to lessen the blow...

Same here, she’ll still have an M240 to drive when the M2 arrives. Now if I can only get her to try Sport mode.

I’ve always had Manual cars not to mention it’s a lot cheaper to pull the trans to replace the cluch than it is to replace the transmission when it fails from lack of service there is no such thing as lifetime transmission fluid in an automatic I alway recommend a 30k service interval every time period last 26years and GM made transmissions for bmw at onetime

Exactly. My wife, who barely drives, was like "I can't drive it?!" Me: "dude, it has 460hp, you think you should drive it?" Haha

I told her if she went to a driving school and track session she could have a chance. Until then, this is daddy's car.

But where the hell did this idea come from that the m2 is lighter than the m4?

F87 m2 was 1495kg (3296lbs) vs the F82 M4 was 1497kg (3300lbs), a whole 2kg (4lbs) lighter lol.

Meanwhile for the comps:

F87 m2c was 1550kg (3417lbs) and the F82 m4c was 1515kg (3340lbs), so the m2 was actually 35kg (77lbs) heavier!

(All weight figures from the direct press releases on press.bmwgroup.com)
For clarity, I am referring to how close is curb weight the G generation M2 and M4 are.

I don't understand any of this? If the wife has a car why does what yours has matter? You drive yours she drives hers lol

My goal is to get rid of the x3 m40i and get a 340i xdrive 6mt as my winter car and just have the fj as our only auto for her. I know I'd be giving up a lot of practicality with the x3 but I really want a 6mt awd winter car.
They make the 340 in manual?

Uh how's this an issue if you buy the car new?

Forgot to add...a couple of weeks after she got the car she came home from work and said, "I drove home in sport mode, I like it!" I am going to take a guess if she realizes how to set up sport individual, she wont tell me she uses it (of course, she may not after she realizes how fast the gas get eaten).

My point was, she got her new car before me, so I dont have to hear, "Why are you getting a new car, yours is just fine and you have dumped all that money into it for mods and upgrades"

When it comes to alarming statements from someone who also serves as a valuable friend, yes. And her stating she wants to drive my car, that qualifies. Haha.

Don't worry, she's not a Lois Einhorn.
