Tow hook plates

After sometime with carvespeed, they got me a fit for a tow hook plate holder!

It seems like it does not block any sensor and camera

Awesome! So this was a special order or are they readily available on their website?

Would it be possible to test the sensors?

I just turn on my car and see no issue with camera.
I don't see it affects the parking sensors. Will drive with it once I get my metal plate.

I had to contact the support. They gave me there longest hex stud with a extension which made it work

Also looks like there's plenty of room to angle the bracket inward parallel with the bumper if you want.

That looks nice! I went with ECS Tuning, but it turns out they don't have the mounting bolt done up yet for the G Series chassis. So, I'm still plate-less up front. The price we pay for a brand new model.

Or just don't run one! 🤣

VA requires a front plate but I don't run them on any of my cars. I have it in the car just in case, or I'll just pay the ticket.

Yeah, thank for clarifying...I could not find "cravespeed" and was not aware of "cravenspeed"...not did it return on my searchs.

That said, I assume the G20-based 330/340 kit is what they sold you, yes? I measured the tow hook and it's pretty long, so the ones on their website for the 2019/2022 3 Series appear to fit our G42s...IMO. I'm sure they wouldn't officially say it fits, but my dealers seems to think all the tow hooks (ergo tow hook plate mounts) are the same for the G Series.

LOL, you're right. I am from PA which is a no-front-plate state, but I live in VA now, so I'm having to deal with such silliness! I've been doing what Hendo's doing...just blowing it off.

Lack of front plate is no longer a primary violation in VA. They can't pull you over for it, but can tack it on. Down in the VA Beach area its never been an issue.

The site lets you choose 2022 M240iX models when I looked but I would call/contact them before ordering !

I did see that but was/am confused as I thought the F22/G42 were different mounts on the bumper...per my BMW dealer. I thought maybe the site was being "lazy" and didn't update accurately.

Yeah the they sent me is about 3.75"
You would need something like 7~7.5"

They sent me the longest hex stud they got. 6.5" I think. And a extension

So far, I've been driving around with no front plate for about a month and I think I don't want to install it period. Lol. The car looks sexier without it but NY does require a front plate. I may look into this tow hook plate if it is working out properly for everyone else.

I spoke with Carbonio, they will have a no drill front plate mount solution for our cars for those who don't want to go the tow hook route.

check out slybrackets, I have one on my car and works great. I center mounted it on the lower grille. My car does not have the adaptive radar option. You can also offset it to the side, it's adjustable in many ways. I fiddled with it for about an hour trying to get the perfect position and setting. I had to get the separate leveler from them later on, so the plate sits straight and flush with the bumper.
