Price increase

My car 240I is on order as a late 2022 but will be changed to a 2023. So looking over my order I see this.

Base Price up $450
Thundernight paint up $100
All other options same$
But the Premium Package is $800 less ????
Makes me wonder if something is deleted in new premium package.
Actual total cost is $150 less than my on order car ?

I doubt that is true.

Thanks for the post of 2023 price guide.

Now that I've got both my spec sheets side by side, it's easier to see the pricing differences from year to year.

My spec is pretty much fully loaded except no wireless charging, no ZTK package, no drive recorder (easy to add, just forgot about it). On a MY22, the total MSRP w/ destination and handling fee was $56,795. For MY23, I was able to add ACC ($950) and the 50-Jahre badges ($200), with a total MSRP w/ destination and handling fee of $58,745. This leaves $800 in a total price hike between years.

If you had a more base-spec model, you'll feel the crunch more between the years.

Not sure where you're getting your numbers but the MSRP increased $1350, not $450.

oops I saw the 49000 on price sheet. Didn't seem to notice the 900 on the end! Eye Doc said I could use some glasses. I should agree with her..Ha!
OK + $1350 Base price
That is more believable in this world.

Still wondering on the Premium package at -$800
and the moonroof is still listed as on the car build.

One thing that really surprised me, the shipping/destination/handling charge stayed the same. I really expected that to almost double as shipping costs have gone up so much in the last 1 to 2 years.

I'm here in New Jersey, thanks for the pricing guide, waiting for the 2023 Configurator to go live so I can send my build into my local dealer.

Getting excited though! Need me a purple car!

I submitted an order for a 2023 rwd m240i over a month ago. The bmwusa configurator has nothing to do with ordering a car.

LivingInSalt i get that, I have my place in line for allocation with my local dealer they just want me to wait until the configurator goes live so I can send in my code for the build.

Just getting excited and curious to see what the potential new cockpit 8 brings!

There’s still no reason to wait. They can input your order directly to BMW tomorrow, with all of your exact specs

Just go there in person and input your order with your chosen packages options and/or individual options added together with your CA or send them your configuration via email and get it signed electronically for the CA to be able to submit your order in the BMW order bank. You really dont need to wait for the configurator to go live.
Also make sure that together with your chosen packages options and/or individual options list you also send them their related codes which can be also found in the pdf file (in front of each option) for the MY2023 attached here in the thread.

I just placed a order on a 230i X Drive today.

Something interesting was the 5DF Active Cruise went down $500 to $450. Order is confirmed with that price so might be worth checking out.

I think Premium Package dropped in price due to the digital gauges now being standard.

MSport, performance tires, etc. missing from 230i configurator

What gives with this? Has BMW given up or is it a web site glitch?

I asked my dealership about this and they said that the M Sport Package was discontinued for the 230i and 230xi. Not sure about the performance tires. You can "backdoor-add" the M Sport Package by selecting an upgraded wheel in the online configurator that requires the package, but my salesperson said that shouldn't be allowed. I presume a real build would be flagged prior to ordering.

It seems the MY23 2 series will be hit by another price increase (for +800$, +1000$, +1200$) which will be valid as of 01/2023 ...

I need to take this back--the M Sport option is indeed unavailable to add directly, but the backdoor-add works. I have a confirmed build sheet with production number for a 230i showing ZMP with a wheel upgrade. Hopefully I won't be getting a call in a few weeks telling me that it's no longer available...
