What did you do with your G42 today?

Installed the OEM M Performance Carbon Fiber Fuel Filler Cap (P/N 16-11-2-472-988). Unnecessary and a bit pricey at $100 yes but I like it.

Super thin with very tight tolerances. It fits over the stock gas cap perfectly.

very nice and totally necessary, I remember growing up and going to car shows were dudes had billet everything window cranks and so on. Carbon fiber is just our generations billet.

Installed the OEM hollow lower steering wheel trim piece which comes standard on full M cars. It was ~$35, P/N 61-31-9-882-776. Steering wheel doesn't need to come off but you'll need to remove the airbag for this install.

Ohhhh I love this. Need to decide if I want to retain the silver trim or go carbon fiber though...

FWIW, ive been waiting I think over a month now for the OEM CF pieces. No idea when I will see it. So at $35, this could be worth it during the wait.

Installed an OEM M3/M4 steering wheel with tricolor stitching, OEM competition paddle shifters and OEM hollow lower steering wheel trim. I bought the parts at BMWpartsnow.com. Part numbers are listed below.

I really appreciate the level you are taking to modifying. If I had a bigger budget I would love to follow some of the same mods you have done. I'll enjoy for the sidelines for now.

Mine isn’t ordered yet (1st in line for next allocation), but I have ordered some goodies that I found out were removed from the official build sheet since it’s now 2023.

Got the M 50th Anv badges for the Hood, Trunk, Wheels, and projector door lights. Along with the M door locks and a Carbon Gas Cap “Cover”. I didn’t realize it was only a cover, which was slightly disappointing.

Glad to hear. I didn’t even realize mine was a cover until it arrived. I’m worried I’ll be able to “feel” that its a cover every time I get gas. Sounds like it’s thankfully a solid fit.

Installed the door projectors. I’ll probably rotate the slide so the image is perpendicular to the car. The door isn’t all the way open in this pic. My neighbor’s car is a little close. Pretty easy install, biggest pain was disconnecting the factory power cable to stock lights. New projectors snapped right in. Bought the BMW projectors, no knock offs!
Next, snapped in the door sills. Super easy.
