Plastidip Clear Bra?
Hey guys jut curious if anyone has tried using clear coat plastidip as a clear bra? Seems like a plausible idea, not sure how the finish would look though.

I was thinking about this last week but unsure how it would. I have sooo many paint chips + dead bugs on my front bumper it's not even funny.

my friend plastidip his entire g37 coupe and it help up pretty good so far from bugs and rocks, so i think if you apply thick enough coats it should offer some kind of protection,,

I'm curious because I will have a new hood and bumper soon from hitting a deer and would like to protect it. Might try a small section on the hood to see how it looks

Do your car a favor and get a real clear bra. There's a reason why it's expensive, because it works efficiently and looks good. IF you do end up going with the plasti-dip route, beware of overspray! Tape off almost everything man, plasti-dip overspray is a headache. |

Yeah, be careful with plastidip.
The clear bra idea DOES work, but remember... It won't be entirely clear. It will turn your existing color into a matte color. So, for example, black will turn matte black, and the chrome will turn brushed aluminum. Apply many coats....
