I'd absolutely buy again. But I'd spec it with port installed MP HAS in order to get the warranty.

The one option I was worried about was Toronto Red. But as it turns out, I love TR in person.

I'm pretty sure the warranty is there regardless of who installs them, as long as it's the MP HAS you're good to go

Are you sure? I believe I read previously that the warranty is not as long if you get it installed at the port. Hopefully someone can confirm.

I had the same doubt re: TR and the same reaction in person. Thought I'd regret it/get fomo when the new '25 colors come out, but I'm very satisfied with my choice even considering all of the rumor'd colors. The only time I'd change my spec would be if they offered the full individual program + european delivery (which was my high school ///M dream), and that seems out of the realm of possibility any time in the near future.

I think if I was ordering today, the softer market would cause for some more pause on my end and I'd probably shop for more of a discount or continue my poke around at low mileage 991.1-991.2 911's (which were seem to have started to come down a bit, at least there's more inventory in the <$80k range), but there are very few new-ish cars that can do what this car can do (practicality + m/t + power + decent reliability) at this price point.

If individual colors were offered that would be the only change on my build other than getting rid of the cellphone warmer in the glove box. Of the color options available, I am happy with my BG.

Not ordering buckets has been my biggest regret with the car.
Only reason I got the wireless charger is because I was duped and thought it would come with Digital Key and it didn’t.
The wireless charger is a complete worthless waste of space and doesn’t even charge. I’d rip it out if I could.

Mind if I ask what aspect you don’t like about Non-shadow line in your opinion? My allocation is approaching and I currently didn’t opt shadow line mostly wanting to have chrome tips for contrast and a little bit slimmer looking headlights (with eyebrows like F87)

The eyebrows is it. I think I’d prefer the dark headlight toppers. Totally a matter of personal preference.

Do you have a manual or automatic? If manual, it appears the digital key is not supported. If Auto, digital key is supported with or without the wireless charger.

I saw it in another thread but can't remember where, someone referenced some fine print that said it but I'll try to find it again

last couple posts here, copy/pasted the fine print below:

https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2071742

*Original BMW accessories that are installed on/in the vehicle will
carry the full New Vehicle Limited Warranty if they were installed
prior to the delivery to the client. If the installation is made after
the retail sale of the vehicle, the accessory will be warranted for
the balance of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty period, or two
years from its date of installation, whichever is greater.

Would I buy the car again?
Yes, outside of a BlackWing, there isn't another car in this segment (other than the G80/2). The BW doesn't do it for me and I prefer the 2 over the 3 and 4.
Optionswise, yes, I would get the exact same spec. Options are cheap on this car. I got just about everything outside of the automatic transmission and the car came to only $76K.
There are a select few cars that I would take over my G87 and they are substantially more expensive. I need a six speed so the only real options would be something like a 911, which in this day and age is priced outside of my comfort zone.

Manual. Was told by sales it came with Digital Key and charger in front of shifter, they obviously lied.

i agree, the value proposition on paper (and in practice) is HUGE on these cars, but most importantly, it gives me those divine little moments driving where im like "oh yeah, this is why i got into cars to begin with" - the itch that only gets scratched on your favorite b roads with a good driver focused car. i can say with certainty theres like a dozen cars tops that have done that for me, and this is the cheapest new option by at least 30k.

Same here, got fooled by the sales guy... no digital key and the wireless charger is completely a waste of $500 for sure.

Because if you install it somewhere else (at home or at an Indy shop) you don’t get the full warranty, just the 2-years on parts.

That’s not how I read it. I inferred is understanding to be port and dealer installed warranties are identical. They are not.

If the owner has the parts installed by the dealer, he basically loses only the mileage/time from the in-service date to the point of install.

Given that caveat, the warranties are not identical. Appreciate your identifying the difference.

What are you guys referring to? The car had full warranty and continues to have warranty… nothing is lost. Other than the “pleasure of driving with the HAS from day one”.

The fact you drove less miles with as HAS suspension only means you drove more with another suspension… so you’re advocating for not missing out on “miles driven” without the HAS, not any loss in warranty…

If the in-service date and HAS install is the same (upon delivery, for example), the dates/miles are the same.

When will this doubt end? 10 threads about it and we’re still on it lol

I'd spec carbon buckets and manual trans. Otherwise perfect car.

It seemed like my post was pretty clear . If the suspension kit is installed by a dealer, after delivery, the warranty would be from the installation date/miles until the end of the new vehicle warranty.
