Official e90POST Track Time Thread

Official e90Post Track Time Thread

I would like to start this thread in order to see where our individual times stack up with other members on the boards. We can ask questions, get advice, and have general discussion about all the various times and tracks. I believe we can use this to benefit each other through feedback.

I will frequently update the thread so we can have an accurate recording of lap times etc.

Requirements
1) Screen name, track, tire type (street or slicks), track conditions, time
2) Need a photo/diagram to prove time
3) Let's be honest to get a good idea of how our laps compare with other members

Here is a sample!!!!

1. MFlowT5, Willow Springs Raceway, Hankook RS3, 60 degrees, 1:34.730

^^^ Under Michael Lewis^^^

If you have a iphone photo or something that is fine too, just want to have some form of consistency when posting our lap times.

You should put up a google doc like they did in the Limp mode sticky.

Also, Mods are vital. A 350 HP car should 3-4 seconds faster around Laguna than a stock car.

Add Infineon for the Norcal tracks.

Agree with JBass. You'll need more information so a spreadsheet that can be modified would be great.

Btw, there was a thread that was started but was never made a sticky and ultimately died as the OP didn't update. Perhaps you can pull from that thread to start this one strong.

Well that isn't entirely true, some M3 with only suspension components and tires can pull faster laps than my car. I know a 330i that does 1:36 around willow springs, haha.

Mflow, same driver with more horsepower or some other mod better than stock: suspension, tires, etc. will go faster. Get it?

not every time. if the mods affect chassis dynamics and/or aren't set up right, they can actually make the car slower.

Really? These are examples people. Just ask for mods as they effect performance and therefore times.

I'd think at minimum we'd know what car and yes, you do need more details. If someone runs faster than me, I'd like to know how he did it. Was it just the driver or did mods come into play? Otherwise, this thread will simply become, "What's your fastest time." Interesting? Yes. Useful? No.

I understand that. I will find some way to interject some modification information into these times.

edit: we could do WHP and weight or something? lol. Just not everyone knows the exact weight of their car.

Please change mine to my screen name of "vwong".

What does FBO stand for?

For Streets of Willow, you need to split that into CW (clockwise) and CCW (counter clockwise).

I'll add couple more.

Streets of Willow (CW) - 1:30.738, stock, Dunlop Direzza SS
Buttonwillow 13CW - 2:11.807, stock, Yokohama AD08

I ran a 2:12.7 at Thunder Hill. I have the Performance Box data but no video.

Ran a 1:51.0 at Laguna here's the video:

Both have the same config. Everything in my sig + Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec.

Nice and smooth lap at Laguna. I haven't run my E92 there yet, hopefully I can track the E92 at Laguna this year. Back in 2007, I ran my 04 TSX and my friend's 99 Civic EX there. Then I ran another friend's 07 Civic Si during the Time Attack session in the same weekend. I love that track.

Make sure to specify which course at Thunderhill: With the bypass or the crow's nest. There's a 2-3 second difference - faster - with the bypass.

That is an impressive time with your 325. I've only been able to do a 2:08 with the crow's nest/cyclone in my 335. It has stock power.

How much power are you producing in the 325?
