Ordering G87

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hey everyone, thinking about ordering a g87 at the dealership around this weekend. Im located in south Florida and do any of you guys recommend any dealerships? Never ordered a car like this before so is there anything I should look out for also? such as below or above MSRP etc. Also how far out are your g87 from being in your garage!

You should not pay over MSRP. Some or all of the dealerships will most likely require a deposit. I would call around, from may Port St Lucie to Miami and see who has best terms and shortest waiting lists.

Since youbare kinda late to the game, difficult to believe you would receive the car in 2023 at this point (or at beat, end of 2023).

My dealer just called - he has an HEA car coming in and was saying that the first $1000 deposit willl hold it. Didn’t discuss price with him, but I got the sense it was an msrp deal.

Most dealers required a 1k deposit so that’s probably it

It's going to be an amazing car but like others have said, you might be a little late to the game if you want one soon.

It's also easy to say don't pay over MSRP, but this is completely subjective. You will hear the same person say in one breath not to pay over MSRP, and then say with their next breath that you can sell it later and make money. Why is it OK for an individual to sell one for MSRP + but a dealership can't. The truth is, if you want one sooner then you might need to pay over MSRP, and that's OK if you see the value in it. Obviously try to get one for MSRP if you can.

Lastly, if you aren't completely set on the M2, you can also consider an M4. Sure, it's a totally different car, but my guess is that you can get one of those a lot sooner than you could an M2.

I know at least a couple dealerships down here are not charging an ADM. Just MSRP plus their standard $995 destination charge.

I know, was just breaking it out as some may not realize (especially if never have seen a BMW order sheet).

And dealers are sometimes willing to eliminate the destination fee. Probably not on the G87, however

This is a new one on me.

Some dealer’s Doc Fee is as nearly much as the Destination Fee.

Where I live (Alberta Canadastan) on top of MSRP, they tack on $595 CAD Admin, $3,995 CAD Freight and PDI, $100 CAD AC enviro fee. All those goodies are also taxed 5%.

Don't any of you Yankies come and complain.

I've gotten the dealer to take off the destination fee on my last 2 new BMWs. Used to be $695.

Not holding out much hope for my upcoming G87. Especially since they agreed to MSRP

Oh I know other countries get even more taxed and in most case starting with a higher MSRP. I would be able to get this car if I lived in AUS, NZ, or EU.

Remember ontario tax is 13 % + 10 % of over 100k.

Isn't the new federal luxury tax for vehicle over $100k CAD 20% of the amount over 100k on top of all other taxes?
