I thought so and bought one from Alan Hardy in Berkeley in March, 1985. It was a great GT car, and BMW certainly didn't produce anything to top it during the rest of the 80s. Besides the remarkable-for-the-day power produced by the 3.5-liter M88/3, the M635CSi personified the idea of The Ultimate Driving Machine. The water buffalo Recaro chairs were exceptional, too. I remember that the leather felt very thick and stiff to the touch. While that may sound unappealing, I was perfectly comfortable joining friends at a restaurant after arriving from a 15:15 Denver --> San Francisco run. Those were the best chairs I've ever had in a car I owned.

Do love Harry, been reading EVO for quite some time. Discovered all of the British car mags around 15 to 20 years ago and been reading them ever since. Which reminds me to go buy some more.
He also appears in Octane too I think
