Front and rear top mounts suggestions

I'm having a suspension refresh all round with B4S dampers and Eibach pro-springs. I do need more rear camber to reduce rubbing on the rear alloys which will be dialled in when I have geometry sorted. But is it true that the front camber is adjustable according to different branded top mounts?

Yes, you can buy camber adjustable top mounts.

Don't think so. You're going to need something like Dinan or Ground Control plates.

OE style top mounts aren't camber adjustable but you can remove the pin to dial a touch in. You can get Ground Control or Vorshlag which are both adjustable camber plates so very good.

Dinan are fixed camber plates so dial in a fixed amount of camber and reuse the OE top mount.

I've actually got some Vorshlag camber plates sat in the garage as I've got some fixed camber plates currently on the car.

Could be tempted to sell them or the fixed ones in the near future.

Another option for the fronts is the M3 lower control arms which dial in additional camber due to a different length than the stock items.

Ok. I think I'll just stick with the above. Which is the better out of them?

Personally I'd go fixed camber plates as the best and cheapest option. I might have mine up for sale shortly (and they aren't expensive) and offer about -0.5degrees of camber over whatever else you have. So with the pin removed and these about -1.1ish degrees.

You can then add the M3 arms for about £250ish at a later date to add an additional -0.7 I think it is.

Camber plates are too expensive, I was only looking at paying around £40 as this is what the price of the Sachs or Lemforder ones is. When you say you can remove the pin to add more camber, how exactly do you do that? Is it done at the time of fitment by the mechanic or at the time of alignment?

At the time of fitment. The pin just needs to be cut/ground off.

You can remove it at any point. It's the alignment pin to put the top mount into the standard position. It's just a small allen key bolt in the top of the top mount.

The fixed camber plates I have aren't expensive but reuse the existing top mount too.

I've never known them to need to be cut/ground off. They're just an allen key bolt.

That's even easier then

I'd assumed they were pressed in or welded on.

Would Sachs jobbies suffice or are the Lemforders better?
