That is exactly how I would describe it. The mazda color is really nice…Vegas Red not so much.

Are there any estimates to when will MY25 cars be announced or enter into production? Just wanted to get some ideas on if I should wait or go for a MY24 car at my local dealer.

Announcement should be in the coming weeks, not months. SOP is scheduled for 08/24 but in typical BMW fashion it'll likely start production early, sometime in late July.

You can say the same for Black and White! How often do you see frozen grey though?

But I do think they should do what Porsches do, pick any color you dream of and pay the premium for M cars.

I'm also not a fan of white and black, fwiw. Too clarify, though, I wasn't referring to how common they are (though I do see a ton of grey cars around here in San Diego) but how interesting they are to look at. If every car on the road was red, green, or blue id new much happier than of they were all black, white, and grey haha.

I mean it's all personal preference at the end of the day, and I'm not trying to knock what anyone else loves, it just seems like a very strange mix of colors to me.

Agree completely that m cars ought to have more variety available!

I was hoping for something like Voodoo blue or some sort of Orange. Hell I would even take a green one... Not another grey, I have already FPG on my X7. Sport car have to be bright (but not BMW's ugly yellow bright)

Do you know which of these changes will be applied also to standard 2-series G42? Which colors will be available?

Thanks to the reply. So it will be at least September before the cars hit the lot? I guess I’ll go for a MY24 then.

Agreed and my M2 is Brooklyn Grey but I probably would have picked Skyscraper if it were a choice at the time. Greys are safe. Black accents look good with Brooklyn and other greys and it appears clean longer than other colors. But I really like a nice blue. My STi is Lapis Blue Pearl metallic and it’s one of my favorite colors. Bronco in Velocity Blue which is a bit too loud a color but at the time was the best choice. Both are amazing in sunlight. Brooklyn looks good too but agreed it’s kind of boring. Portimao is also a great color, just not into frozen colors.

Ooh I love those blues. Good taste! My og m2 is LBB and while it may not be QUITE the color id design if I was given free reign at the paint shop it's pretty damn close. I love it.

I would say that there probably won’t be many changes, in color, to the G42 until the LCI. We don’t know if that’s MY25 or MY25.

Those may be in concert with the laser tail lights, new steering wheel and interior colors/changes.

I saw a local dealer had an X2 in Vegas Red. Since it was a nice afternoon, I headed over yesterday. I wanted to love the color, but it was nothing special. Didn't wow me like Lexus Infrared or Mazda Soul Red.

In a stroke of good luck, it was parked next to a Skyscraper Grey X3. Wasn't wild about that color, either! Brooklyn Grey in the background to complete the set.

In this pic Vegas Red does not look too bad. I saw it in a 5 series and it looked odd. Maybe because I did not like the car? Also, Skyscraper Grey looks great if you do a matte PPF. It looks similar to frozen pure grey. All that being said, I still think I will go with white.

As with Toronto Red, the camera saturates and brightens it a bit. Doesn't really pop in person like I had hoped.

It's a perfectly decent color, but not as appealing as others in this range.

Really good video. Thanks for sharing. DO kinda feel like he glosses over the ability to order a custom build of most cars, though... you just have to be willing to wait is all.
