When I drove the Z4 3.0i E85 it was about 2010 or so (there was almost no internet lore back then), and its steering literally sucked compared to my simple 123d E82 at the time (electro-hydraulic steering, not hydraulic like the 1M). The Z4M was a completely different league. By the way, the 1M was in 1510/1520 kg range, the M3 E92 1620/1630 (personally weighed), I have no idea about the E90, but the 1M's front end was slightly heavier in %.
