Does anyone know what this box is for. I think it is connected to a wiring harness behind my dash that I found when doing a screen swap. I am having issues with the aux connection not producing any sound coudl this be related to that?

Any advice or wisdom is appreciated.

Could be a DAB you made the picture to big it's hard to tell .
The modules are usually labeled with a part no and some kind
of functional name . Use Mdecoder.com to see what the options
are/

This is what I found on mdecoder so I shoudl have the ability to use an aux

according the options list you provided,
your AUX is now routed to the MULF2HIGH module, it is under the TCU.
if any of these 3 modules will fail, it will break the MOST loop (green fiber wire) and communications from MULF2HIGH to headunit will be disrupted.

Am I right in thinking the mulf2high box is located under the long box on the right in the photo?

better to used inpa or ista to get right code decoding

the CAN disconnect do not disrupt it, but MOST module failure break the loop

Hi sorry, so since I have a DAB box shouldn’t I have the option to use DAB radio I currently only have AM and FM available. Do you think this could be my issue the DAB box being broken?

You could always put a most jumper in at the box which would take it out of the loop. I don't know if DAB works like Sat Radio in the US but you have to have a subscription for Sat Radio in the US.

Most jumpers are cheap on amazon.

sure you should have dab option
but if will not be active if most loop broken if any of these 3 modules failed or not powered
you need to diagnose most loop modules by the following
remove plug with most and power from dab module
temporarily remove dual most shell from plug
put plug back, the module should began to emit red light from most socket if it is powered
put back plug with most

the tcu and mulf modules have most separate from plug with power
so with them you need to remove both plugs, put power plug back, see if they began to emit light in 30-60 sec after powered
the plug also can emit red light, then means the previous module in loop sending signal over loop
to get most loop working you need to have powered all modules in loop, or to exclude failed module from most loop using aftermarket most loop plug cable
