Transmission Replacement Coding

Recently my mother's 2011 328xi transmission went out (she never changed the fluid). I have a transmission, torque converter, and transfer case out of a 2011 328xi with 66k miles. Would there be any problem installing the used transmission and resetting the trans adaption, or would the vin stored in the egs have to be coded? Is this possible? It has the GM GA6L45R
