low beam headlight
Hey everyone so I’m having an issue I have a 06 325i on my gauge cluster it says theirs a headlight out ( low beam driver side) but it’s weird when my lows are on they work fine but if I turn all my lights on driver side low beam shuts off I’ve checked all other lights no issue everything accounts for when on same with turn signals I bought new bulbs gonna see if they work any ideas in the mean time?

There are two modes to the light out check...a low voltage mode or cold check which it just looking a continuity for the most part. It can be sensitive enough to error on a bulb that's marginal/getting ready to fail. There's also a hot check, which runs when the lights are on, and is monitoring for an over current / short situation.
I also believe the "low/dipped beam failure" indication can also apply to the fog lights as well (or at least that's what I recall the owners manual saying). I'm not sure if it would also flag the little bulb in there that shares the reflector with the high beam bulb. A chunk of this assumes halogen headlights.
