great attention to detail and some good skills on show, the leather on the grab handles looks really good.

Nice to have the updates on the e90, I love the new leather on the handles, but I was also wondering how you'll get the door card off in the future as you need to pry the half of the handle off to remove the screw?

I'm definitely going to carpet clean the floor as well, did you renew the seat bolts out of curiosity as I know when I last looked on newtis when it was actually still up and running that they shouldn't be reused (I reused them with the intentions of replacing) but that was about a year ago haha.

Good to see someone looking after another e91

Envious of your attention to detail, and skill with fabric, needle and thread!

All the work on my car is basically little more than firefighting...fixing broken stuff (hopefully) before it becomes a problem.

Got any planned work for the mechanicals, other than maintenance?

Cool, I didn't know that! Your stitching is still super neat though.

When you do the CDV delete, be sure to have a pressure bleeder on hand to bleed the clutch afterwards.

Bummer about the mirror...can you get a used one?

Great work you're doing, the car is looking lovely and all the better for the improvements.

I bought an E91 330i late last year and I have many of the same items on the to-do list, including replacing the iDrive screen with a CarPlay compatible screen. I'm probably going to go with the Andream unit as I've read a lot of good things about it on the 5-series forum (the E60 CCC is basically the same as the E9x), although I expect that most of the Chinese CarPlay units are similar. How did you find it getting all the new cables and connector blocks back into the dash after fitting the unit, as I've heard that can be a challenge finding space for them?

Do you plan to add a reversing camera to the car? The replacement boot handle units are a cheap upgrade to work alongside the screen and easy to fit, but running the wires into the car looks like a bit of a nightmare. If I do go down this route I might try one of the wireless transmitters instead.

I meant to say, I love the 325ti. A friend had on a while back as a runaround (when they were still cheap!) and they are great fun. I had an E46 330Ci at the time and there wasn't much in it performance wise despite the almost 40 BHP difference in power. Lower gearing in the compact helps make it feel more lively too.

That's a lovely motor you've got there mate and I enjoyed reading all your updates. Do you know if your split arm rest is a factory fitted option or aftermarket?
