No, will not cause a CEL.

Could it cause a warranty issue...if the car goes in for an exhaust related issue/repair, there is a possibility it could cause it not to be covered (same due to the valve controller).

I’m running the full SS Valvetronic system right now, it sounds bloody amazing, I’m sure you’ll love it. I Installed it even before my break in was complete, I did everything myself and it turned out perfect in the end.
It can be installed by yourself if you have access to a lift.
My dealer said that the chance of exhaust effecting my warranty is slim to none.
If worse comes to worse, I’d pop my factory system back on with 4 bolts and deny everything.
It’s worked for me for the past 40 years.

Don't get me wrong, my post above was just an honest response, not my opinion. I too have the Valvetronic valved sport exhaust system, and yes, its great. I didn't keep my stock exhaust, just dont have the space (plus with my other mods, that is tge least of my worries).

One thing to keep in mind, its not the dealership that voids your warranty, its BMW. When you bring your car in, its plugged in and info is sent to Germany.

You just unplug the old ones and the new system hooks right up, using the factory connections. Really easy.
The remote is programmed right out of the box and works with the valve controller box without any additional programming.

Is your car a show car (with the colors, they look cool) or are you looking for a top dyno figure after installation (just after install, you will get a max air in which will aid in dyno figures)? If not, I would not recommend them. Is this your daily? The filters are open/exposed and will catch a ton of dirt and let particulated into the system that you want to keep out (the "hair net" filter covers dont change anything).

The Eventuri is currently the gest on yhe market but not worth $3k (I am just using a high flow drop in filter for now until Carbahn cones out with theirs or if AWE releases one).

Remember, going with a system with piping equal to or less than stock is of no benefit (looks only and not worth spending the $$).
You want increased flow and as best protected from the geat and elements. This is my two cents...

Thank you. What exactly drop in filter you using?
Can you send link?
Also the without a tune the valvetronic exhaust won’t affect the car i bad way?
Im guessing it will just improve the sound, correct?

Sorry for all the typos in my post.

I am going with BMC (I just linked from IND, shop for best prices). https://ind-distribution.com/product...air-filter-set

Yes, the Valvetronic valved sport exhaust system will provide benefits even without a tune. Beyond the sound, it will allow you to fully open/close valves remotely and lets the car breathe better overall. There is a bump in power and driveability with the exhaust, especially in sport and sport+ modes.

Seems like a lot of work and money compared to purchasing a full system all at once, no?

Thought that myself, too. Plus, if going with a full catback from one manufacturer (whether Valvetronic, Fi or anyone else), you get a fluent designed system that has been tried and tested. Just my 2 pennies...

Yep, I’m not a fan of valvetronic or their quality. I like to piece together and build my systems unique from my favorite reputable companies so I get a nice authentic sound.
