Anybody tried Targa Racing?
Anybody have any experience with them? I read the "beware of zillion" thread and they seem to be pretty good but i just wanted to see if you guys could give me any other feedback. I just want a shop that knows what their doing and cares about the car they work on.
Had an oil change @ some shop and the guy dripped engine oil all over the engine block and oil pump. Tried getting it off but couldn't get it all off as it dripped too far down. That and they didn't pump away the leftover oil in the filter housing. Do not want that to happen again. *edit* lol i'm going to be called an a$$hole and i'm sure they're an awesome shop and may just be busy but the name "tardy racing" just crossed my mind haha *Update* I just called to get another quote from another shop, is 1.2 grand for a brake job sans brake considered cheap? i have no idea. It includes brake fluid flush Last edited by scflaw; 03-14-2012 at 05:35 AM.. |

sigh, i keep calling them for quotes on a brake job with ss lines, all i get is call you back later. Does this shop only respond you if you go there in person? its just weird.... been waiting 2 days for that quote, they're making me seem like a cranky old man...

That's odd... I emailed them and they replied within 15mins.
Bit it's a small shop... Its only the size of 1-2 cars...So maybe too busy working on the cars. |

and on an offnote, you guys my thread into an oil change thread haha. I'm using Castrol Formula RS 0w40, i like it probably gonna switch to the motul oil the next oil change. 1.3k isn't expensive at all, your getting OEM parts and bmw techs, at least you know they won't do drain your oil on a rocky road and drip engine oil all over your cover and block |

Lol whoaa, you guys get ripped off big time back home in the 852 don't ya. I just got my oil changed this past weekend by a private shop here and they charged me US$100, which is basically HK$800. Used BMW Oil and BMW filter by a ex BMW master-tech.
But yeah, my parents get ripped off big time servicing the Quattroporte back home. Especially since they're not too knowledgeable on cars..
