Do I need a double din kit with PDC retention if I plan to install parking sensors?

I am planning to get a double din kit to upgrade the head unit of my e90 318i (2010) and I am wondering if I need the PDC retention.

These are the two kits:
https://incartec.co.uk/product/BMW-3...TROLS-FK-746-1
https://incartec.co.uk/product/BMW-3...C-PDC-FK-746-2

For the one with PDC retention, they say "retain the original (...) parking sensor tones".
But what if I my car had no sensors initially?

I am a total novice, please be considerate when answering.
