MHD Monitor Module
Hello Everyone,
I plan on purchasing the MHD Monitor Module license soon and I have been trying to do my research on what exactly I should be monitoring as I drive. So far, I have not been able to find a thread anywhere with this information stated clearly. So, my main question is: with the monitor module, what data should I always be keeping an eye on? Also, if you guys could give the "normal" range that these points should be in that would be great. For example, I know that my oil temperature should be around 210-240 degrees Fahrenheit at operating temperature. Thank you! |

The tread linked below will have a lot of useful information. It's a long thread, but going through it should tell you what the common monitoring points are, and the acceptable ranges for them.

MHD Monitor Module is extremely useful for logging, but real-time monitoring leaves much to be desired.
On my Android phone, I can only run 2 gauges at a time with MHD. Torque Pro is actually more useful for gauges while driving imo. Here is a good starting point for interpreting MHD data logs which includes "normal" ranges. |

I kept trying to add gauges while viewing the gauges, which only allows you to swap gauges. Of course the "Gauges layout" setting was under Data Logging Options / Configure Options. MHD definitely has more useful parameters than Torque, hands down. Now I might just have to get the MHD Wireless Adapter, although I read since it's wi-fi vs bluetooth, it may interfere with cellular data connection. I use my Android phone for MHD, so cell service is a requirement. Searh time. |
