i've got an e90 sedan DD and i'm going for the "flat" ride. as described in the thread: when hitting a bump both tires land together" i'll be upgrading to BC coilovers soon. i wouldn't mind coming close to the M3 spring rates (160/550 M3 E92) and i wouldn't want to go too much stiffer than that i think. i'm in NYC and i'm constantly driving on rough, cracked, potholed or very uneven surfaces.

my question is, will the spring rates as calculated in the above thread apply to upgraded sway bars for a flat ride? i have HR 27mm front 22mm rear with Hotchkis end links. my struts and shocks are stock and with the sway bars, the ride is pretty nice as far as harshness goes. also upgraded to M3 control arms all around. i'm wondering if stiffer sway bars will make these numbers rise or fall.

should i stay with the stock rates? the tein stech rates seem an ideal combo. if it's a flat ride with those rates then the stiffness would'nt be as perceived??

so stock 335i
145lb= 2.59kg/mm
460lb/in= 8.2kg/mm

Stock M3 e92:
• Front: 160 lb/in= 2.86kg/mm
• Rear: 550 lb/in= 9.82kg/mm

the tein stech springs are
191 front- 3.41kg/mm
593 back -10.58kg/mm
