Window may be the same but BMW could have used different suppliers for the motor or other internal parts from year to year and model to model. Hence, posting in the G42 forum may be more appropriate. Oh, to add...I have both a MY23 G42 M240 and a MY23 G87 and I wouldn’t say it is slow or fast. It is about the same as my previous MY19 S3 (my B9 S5 was a little faster but ironically the internal mechanism broke within the first year). I would rather have it a tick slow than fast and bottoming out. |

Owning both a G42 & a G87 is not greedy. Just good taste in having fun cars 😉
Happy Motoring Y’all! |

The 'Fast Window Speed' free trial in your BMW subscription ran out. You can either pay the $2.99 monthly fee or try to find some BMW Subscription CDs and reinstall them on your 486.

Somewhat unrelated but the 718 GT4 actually has more cargo space than the M2. Learned that while cross shopping. Go figure. I still think the M2’s cargo space is more practical due to the fact that it’s all in one place

A mere look at the picture of both trunks shows the claim is BS. The car can’t hold 2 carryons… whereas you can fit 5 carryons in the M2, without folding seats. I thought the “seats folded” terminology for Porsche was strange since technically you can only “fold” one seat, I suppose, or you won’t drive… I’m not sure how they measured it. Couldn’t be bothered to find a magazine that actually measured the space, but it most certainly isn’t the same as the M2 or the 911 (which can fold seats). |
