First BMW, Alpine White M240i

Recently purchase this 2022 Alpine White m240i.
Background: I had owned a 2020 VW GTI but was curious as to what could be a fun car to buy next since the used market is crazy right now.

I was looking at used M2's but even in the DMV area, prices are insane. Saw a 2019 m240 with 3k miles for 44k which I was actually going to get until i saw this one on cargurus. I called the dealership and asked if i could come see it.

This car was actually a customers car who decided to go elsewhere due to the wait times (No wait time, traded the GTI, only 15 miles odo). Long story short, saw it, fell it love, bought it. Only sad part is this doesn't have the full adaptive led lights

hope sometime in the future i can switch it out with those but who knows.. anyway thanks for your time!

Congrats man…that's a beautiful looking bmw.
What are your thoughts coming from fwd(biased) GTI to this?

I appreciate it. So tbh the GTI is a really fun car to drive especially it being a 6MT. However being in the BMW, i feel more secure on the road. It handles really well, the power is apples to oranges (you can't even tell that is weighs a lot). This car just puts a smile each time i drive it, even in comfort mode the engine responds very well. Overall it's amazing and i knew switching to BMW was the best move i made

Looks great in white! I was settled on Brooklyn gray but now second guessing myself. Order goes in possibly today

Edit: looking a BGM again, it looks just as good. I wish they had a chameleon paint option.
