Issue/Question: wire & install below door puddle lighting

After searching the forums for quite sometime , I cannot seem to find solid info on how this is done , so I've decided to ask myself.

Info I've found:
-E92 has an option for below door "puddle lights"
-E90 may or may not have wiring harness for it
-Only two wires are needed to connect lights (+,-)
-Need to connect to line with 12v ONLY when "door open".

Info I still need:
-is there anyone who can verify if E90 door wiring has connectors for these lights?
-If not, is there a diagram I can use to find the RIGHT 12v to tap?
-Is there a DIY someone is aware of with tips and tricks?
-Is there a retrofit door panel or kit available anywhere for this?

I held onto the ones from my first BMW (E65 745) and would love to bring a piece of that one into my current Bimmer 🙂

I also plan to add the door handle lights eventually, but one thing at a time.

Most e90 door wire harnesses in the US have the wires for the lights.
