Interesting discussion topic here. This makes the anticipation of the production G87 M2 even more exciting. Only time will tell the direction the M division is going with this new M2.

I'd consider swapping my incoming, soon to arrive M4C xDrive for an M2C AWD version, however, one of the main reasons for jumping on the M4 and not M3 was ID7 and the traditional binnacle and not the ID8 and Dual screen "upgrade" that will come with the G87.

The F87 was arguably too heavy. This thing will be marginally lighter than the G82.
Imagine how hard on tyres and brakes this will be if using it on track. I was at a trackday when Joe Achilles was there in a G80 M3 and the brake pads were destroyed within two hours.
