yes, North American ones dont have the OPF as EU cars do. Hence the additional "official" 8 bhp difference figures.

Yes the stock exhaust is louder. I've attached a video of my 2023 M240i stock exhaust, Canada spec. I just labeled the video that so it's not easy to find, trying to keep it semi-private.

It does sound very good, I took it out on the backroad today in sport plus, s mode. At speed when the car auto down shifts the car back fires and it sounds really good. Also, the car pops back to back like popcorn a good few times and you can really hear that. For the record, I am a guy.
