DME Internal fault injectors 4,5,6

Hello all,

I have a 2008 335i completely stock, well taken care of, with 105k miles, it is currently throwing codes for injectors 4,5,6 and misfires in cylinders 4,5,6 (can’t even drive it with how it runs right now). A shop quoted over $2k to replace injectors 4,5,6…… Do you all think I should start with checking the mosfet chips or checking the injectors? What’s the best starting point to go about? Thanks!

MOSFETs are cheap to replace, easy to try that first. Just do all six while you're in there. It's not likely you'd have three injectors fail at the same exact time.

I wonder how common it is for them to fail. I have a 207 335 on the original DME with three original Index 1 injectors! Crossing my fingers that they keep working but there are some symptoms that they're not working optimally.

I had the same fault. Was the DME. Have a google, you can bench test the mosfets in the DME with a multimeter. Common fault on the MSD80.

Has anyone found a reliable place to get these MOSFETs for the MSD80? With all these failures happening all over the place here I'm thinking I should have a set installed and ready to go.

Been 2 year I have them and been running strong. They are the upgraded one. Boost monkey sell the normal msd80 one.
