Replacing My Honda Civic With A 328i Wagon?

I'm looking to purchase a 328i wagon and I know NOTHING about the common car problems associated with this model (or the BMW wagons in general).

The only car I've owned is a little 2006 Honda Civic and maintenance has been INCREADIBLY easy.

Parts are relatively cheap. Every mechanic works on them. Good gas mileage. I can work on just about every part myself. Just a really easy, dependable vehicle.

People who have owned a wagon, what year/model should I be looking at to replace my Civic?

Many thanks

Choices are fairly limited in the US for wagons. You have your 06-08 Pre-LCI that are either RWD or AWD (xi) or 09-11 LCI RWD or AWD although RWD are much harder to come by. All variants use the N51/N52 naturally aspirated engine.
