Gauges

Good morning I'm a new M 240i 2024 owner and have a question about the gauges of lack there of. On the steering wheel I found 3 options to change the layout but none of which offer anything that resembles a traditional circular tach and speedo, Am I missing something or are these the only options. Fwiw my Genesis GV70 SUV offers an option for traditional circular gauges wth.

How do you switch to display rounds gauges in the 2022 M240?

you don't "switch" but you had an option for traditional gauges in the '22 because the Cockpit pro digital dash was an option, gone with ID8

You’ve got something like 3 options. How many options did you have when it was analog dials? I’d be surprised if anyone has ever said, “I’m not buying that car because I can’t change the dials”.
Modern problems.

Still surprising to me that BMW hasn't offered "DLC" to get more gauges in the cluster via a paid download. If they looked good, I'd probably splurge if the price was right. Classic M3 gauges, or maybe the LCI F series gauges, I really liked my F22 with the floating needles.

Yeah I used to say this. If they had DLC, they’d sell a lot. But BMW doesn’t seem to have the software team to support this. I always wanted to be able to throw up a spectrum meter on the iDrive display and would pay for that.

Okay, I have "6U3 - Live Cockpit Pro". Can you please post a pic and explain how to select the round gauges. Thanks.

Personally, I prefer this look over the pro, but miss some of the bells and whistles.

Thank you. I will try to figure out how to select this gauge display option on my '22 M240i.

Gauges

Don't get me wrong I love the car but the gauges stock look like they came from a Nissan! Software is clearly not their strong point.

Ach, I wish I hadn't seen this. Now I dislike my video game "gauges" even more.

Maybe to some they look “cheap”, I think you are associating Nissan with cheap. In person it doesn’t feel that way, but that is subjective.

I do think tho BMW software (ie: idrive/infotainment) is top of its class. Though I only know what I have personally experienced and from what I’ve read.
