Chicago suburb alignment shops?
Anyone know a good one that does custom alignments and is low car friendly?
A&L goes through Advanced Auto (in Palatine), so wanted to see if you guys knew anything further south. |

+1 for thalmnnans. I went to firestone in Bolingbrook. They probably don't do custom alignments but they are lowered car friendly. Plus the lifetime alignment was $170.
When I got my alignment done, there were two sti's Also getting it done. Plus my buddy with an isf gets it done here. |

I'm actually getting my alignment done at Firestone in Lemont on Saturday. Talked to the guy to make sure they knew what they were doing and it checked out haha. They're doing a custom alignment but it's $120 or $220 lifetime. And yes low car friendly. |

Late reply, but overall I was satisfied.
The wheels still rubbed after the alignment, but that's what I get for going with such an aggressive setup. They did fix my toe and added the negative camber I needed though. |

So I'm planning on going back to A-Spec to get some suspension work done, but I know they outsource the alignment work. Should I just use the guys they use or should I drive my car over to Thalmann's and have them do it?

Anyone got good recommendation of alignment shops in northern suburb, other than Thalmann? I had the car aligned with them after A-spec did my suspension work. Alignment was ok, but steering was pointing at 11 o' clock after their first try. Have to drive right back and have them fixed.
Their 2nd try was much better, but the steering is still off center by 1 degree or so. Not really noticeable unless you are the one driving it... Now it is definitely noticeable with 255 tires up front... Tried to adjust the steering tie rod myself just now (using this DIY http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=749585), but just couldn't get enough leverage to turn the lock bolt with car on rhino ramp.... Will probably have a-spec take care of this, while installing FMIC on Friday. Anyone used Perfect Power @ Buffalo Grove before? Seems to be great P-car shop and they even do corner balancing, which I might eventually need when I upgrade to coilovers.

They do corner balance? I going to upgrade to coilover by the end of this season or next spring.
