I do like these black badges. My '22 Genesis G70 had all sorts of chrome badging on the rear: 3.0, G70 and huge G-E-N-E-S-I-S letters across the back. I took all of them off within days of getting the car. It looked kind of empty after that so I put a simple Genesis Wing badge right in the middle of the rear trunk lid. The M240i already has the large BMW roundel in the middle which is plenty IMO so I likely will pull the M240i off mine when I get it so it will wind up a lot like my G70 with only 2 badges on the outer body and of course the badges on the wheels. I like things subtle on the outside so no crazy colors, noise or other farkles to attract LEO either. A country bumpkin LEO may not know the difference between a real M and a baby M so I don't want to give them a reason to pull me over by putting anything with M on the outside that stands out.

Seems new deliveries not coming with Xdrive badge so one less thing to worry about. There's a lot of third party sellers on Amazon/Ali with varying quality and sizing but the likes of AutoID and Motech are nowhere near $115, unless that's OEM original, prepped and sprayed, that's an awful lot of money and even if it is, still a lot of money.

Removed Xdrive the minute I got my car. Added black badge from Ali express for $10. Don’t pay over $100 for a peice of plastic,that is obscene the OEM one comes from the same factory in China as the Ali express one.

I guarantee you no one would ever know mine isnt OEM.

I used a laser level and the measurements from this so it’s done per OEM standards. If it looks off it’s the picture.

UK haven’t had xdrive badges since late 2022. Probably because it’s usually the first thing we remove

I don't entirely dislike it, but I think the original XD badge would look a bit better. It has a strong element of black to it to suit the theme, and the silver plays nicely with the silver in the roundel.

When I got my car PPF'd they pulled both my stockers off and put on the black model badge on and my spoiler (which they were nice enough to put film on as well). Anyhow.... I was a bit butthurt that the Xdrive badge got taken off (I hadn't asked the PPF place to do that). For a week or so I went back and forth between buying another stock XD badge and the all black like you have, and I settled on the OEM pretty quickly for the reasons I mention above. Then I basically just forgot about ordering it entirely and now I love that it's not there.

Love the blue BTW. I think if I could see more of the rear of your car (that is to say, see more of your black OEM spoiler) the all-black badging might grow on me. It could just be the picture that's not super flattering right now.

I did the black M240i badge but removed XDrive and side M badges (it’s not an M car). Also why I chose a non M door projector logo.

Ceramic coating shop did the badge changes for “free”.
