Melbourne Red G42 pics?

Those photos are so deceptive

It looks no where close to its actual color.

I like the Red in the photos much better than “Red Melbourne” which looks too orange to me & is not Red

I ordered mine in Melbourne Red in Shadowline trim. Mine is scheduled to be built week 44 (1st week of November, delivery in December hopefully). I've searched all over the internet and cannot find consistent looks of the red. It seems to look different in pictures (maybe editing to blame or the metallic nature color changing etc.). My Hockenheim Silver M2C seemed to be changing color all the damn time in different light so probably the same paint behavior. Will need to be seen in person I think.

Being red is my fav color, I'm hoping I'm not disapointed on delivery day. Fingers crossed. I won't like it if its more on the maroon tint like those bmw press pics.

Ah wow Slug, nice. Have you never seen Melbourne Red in life then? I've seen it and know the colour is great, just not seen any launch pics etc with the MR colour on the new 2er.

I never have. Red seems to be pretty rare these days (especially with BMWs) in my area. Typically you only see the greys, whites, blacks and blues.

I'm most def looking forward to walking in and seeing the red for the first time when taking delivery.

I think these photos look less flattering in my opinion, maybe its the boxier shape and awkward proportions that's giving me those vibes, but I also think some sharper body-lines would give it a less slab-sided appearance. Definitely a car I need to see in person.

I love titanium silver; best BMW color ever!! My 2002 E46 had it, would have loved to select that for my new M240; selected Blue in lieu of silver

Dayum... it does look amazing. Makes me second guess cancelling my order for the red/shadowline/perf. package for my Tesla Model 3 Performance. What a beauty.

Back at the MX1 event at the BMW CCA HQ in April, there were two F80 M3s side by side: one in Melbourne Red and the other in special ordered Ferrari Red. The MR car was "nice" as you looked it over until you looked at the Ferrari Red car next to it, and then your brain just screams wow. MR looked like it had milk mixed into the paint by comparison. The FR was a pure red that one would think most anyone would want who desires a red car.

Imola is a bit darker than FR, but it's also a "pure" red without the metallic milk mixed in -- too bad BMW doesn't just offer that as an option. A number of late production F80 M3s were build in Imola as a send off to the model (all were ZCP). Here's an example link of one.

The car in the dealer pics looks great! However, I had a 2012 F30 335 in MR and while I liked it at first it got kind of old quick because to me it had a lot of metallic in it and did not pop like a true, solid red.

CSBM5 do you have any pics of the "ferrari Red" M3?
