..::PSI::.. - Unleashing the Power: Akrapovic G87 M2 Titanium Slip-On Exhaust

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com

At PSI, we've always been passionate about pushing the boundaries of automotive performance. When we got the opportunity to install the Akrapovic G87 M2 Titanium Slip-On Exhaust with the Carbon TI Octagonal Tips on our BMW M2, we knew it was a game-changer. Not only were we privileged to be the first in the United States to have it installed, but we also witnessed firsthand the precision engineering and cutting-edge technology that make this exhaust system a force to be reckoned with.

[/url]

The Akrapovic G87 M2 Titanium Slip-On Exhaust: Engineering Excellence

Performance Boost: The heart of any exhaust system upgrade is its impact on performance, and the Akrapovic G87 M2 Titanium Slip-On Exhaust does not disappoint. Crafted from lightweight titanium, this exhaust system significantly reduces weight compared to the stock exhaust, enhancing the M2's power-to-weight ratio. The result is a substantial increase in both horsepower and torque, transforming your M2 into a true powerhouse.

Acoustic Precision: Beyond the performance gains, the Akrapovic exhaust is renowned for its distinct sound signature. It's not just noise; it's a carefully tuned symphony. The intricate design of the exhaust ensures that every exhaust note resonates with power and precision, making it a sonic experience like no other.

Craftsmanship Redefined: Akrapovic is synonymous with craftsmanship, and it's evident in every aspect of this exhaust system. From the flawlessly executed welds to the attention to detail in the titanium construction, it's a work of art as much as it is a performance enhancement. The carbon fiber exhaust tips add a touch of sophistication to your M2's rear end, enhancing its aesthetics.

Exhaust Technology: The Akrapovic G87 M2 Titanium Slip-On Exhaust incorporates state-of-the-art exhaust technology. It features an intricate system of chambers, resonators, and precisely tuned tubes to optimize exhaust gas flow. This results in improved exhaust scavenging and reduced backpressure, further enhancing engine performance.

The Akrapovic G87 M2 Titanium Slip-On Exhaust isn't just an exhaust system; it's an engineering marvel. It's a testament to the dedication to performance, sound, and craftsmanship that Akrapovic brings to every product. At PSI, we're thrilled to have been part of this landmark moment, and we can't wait to share the exhilaration of driving an M2 equipped with this extraordinary exhaust system with fellow enthusiasts.

Whether you're seeking a significant performance boost, a refined exhaust note, or simply appreciate the pinnacle of automotive engineering, the Akrapovic G87 M2 Titanium Slip-On Exhaust is a must-have for any BMW M2 owner. It's not just an upgrade; it's a revolution in exhaust technology.

Is that just the axle back, no mid pipe, no down pipe or cat delete?

This is their x pipe plus axle back, which keeps secondary cats and deletes OEM resonators.

Our car has factory downpipes and all cats.

"we knew it was a game-changer."

Game changing how? The word "substantial" is used several times in the marketing, but when looking at the data, substantial doesn't come to mind except for the price.

What makes this "game changing," exactly, and what justifies its price?

I'm asking out of ignorance, not asking to be a smart ass.

For me is completely changed the car. The sound makes the M2/M3/M4 chassis so much better. Akrapovic quality and fitment is the best on the market and is second to none.

The aggressive nature of the tip design matches the crazy exterior of the M2 as well.

The combo of sound and aesthetic with this system increases the enjoyment level for me every day and fits the car.

Love the sound! And the tip design.

But how does sound improve the chassis?

It's game changing because it's $12,000 and the sellers probably take a 30% cut. Lol.

Be realistic, you cannot ignore the change in your bank account after the purchase.
Especially when you consider that 90% of the increase in sound comes from the mid-pipe (which is probably worth $50) replacing the 2 resonators with a straight pipe.

I had the full Akra Evo exhaust on my E90 M3. That’s a completely different engine but the sound from that exhaust was GLORIOUS. It was really expensive but the quality was the best of any aftermarket product I’ve ever had. I miss that sound so much. Only reason I removed it and sold it is because I’m selling the E90 to make room for the G87.

S65 + Akrapovic is probably the best combo ever, but with turbo engines it is a different story.
BTW I would have kept the E90 and got rid of the RS3 instead
