M240i review (with pro pics)

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I was always a fan of the 2 Series, and I recently drove and shot one for a review:

https://machineswithsouls.com/2022/0...-m240i-review/

In short, I loved the car, and it's one of BMW's best to date. It does look exactly like every other bmw inside, though that's not a bad thing necessarily. Enjoy if you have one, or go for it if you're thinking of one!

I would absolutely love to have one of these as a first car.. not sure it would've lasted long with my teenage self though! Great article and pics as others have said!

Hi
The car photographed is mine. Picked it up 3/26. I can see from your many posts that you are very eagerly awaiting your new ride. Be patient, the car is great. Since I have mine, I'd rather see photos of your puppies.

Forget about the styling - too subjective. Everything else, I agree for the most part but I disagree with the M240i being the best M Performance model. Personally, I would give that title to M340i. In many ways, it goes back to what we love BMW for - it just checks off most of the boxes. It's really the jack of all trades, master of none.

I always shoot with a CPL, and normally do 2 exposures to combine in post.

When I tried the 340, it felt a little soft for me - it's why I went with the M3. The 2 has more or an edge to it. But I love the 340, and such an improvement over the F30 335 I had.

I think all GXX chassis BMW's are significant improvements over the FXX chassis BMW's. If my F36 drove and felt like a G20 3er, it would be the ideal car for me - it's just that much better.

There's no mistaking the performance of the M240i. I think for me, it comes down to it being a coupé. In the BMW line up, the M240i is the coupé to get - you're not wrong there. But for me, overall M Performance model has to go to the M340i until I get some serious seat time behind a M440i Gran Coupé.

These do not photograph well imo, saw one in the dealer recently though and they look totally different, I really liked it.

Really nice car. Congratulations. Do you have a cooling pack with bigger brakes?
