this is a link to a nice simple chart of comparison of many brake fluids showing wet and dry boiling points plus cost comparison.

What's nice is it shows the specs on BMW dot4 fluid as well so you can compare to stock.

Just curious, what is the benefit of upgrading to metal brake lines? I’m guess less leaky and better for heat dissipation?

you'll get a better pedal feel with the stainless steel brake lines. factory is rubber which enables more flex (assuming since I have not confirmed the G42 brake lines)

It's a somewhat common change on motorcycles, (rubber to stainless), it gives you a more positive initial feel and reduces any soft or sponginess in the brake feel (at least on bikes).

I have tracked my M240 5 times and thought I needed SS Brake Hoses, however I'm still on stock hoses and so far they work fine. I did upgrade the brake fluid. The HEL hoses are not DOT specs, for whatever that might be. I believe these hoses are the same as the G20?
