and fyi... I am getting PPF installed tomorrow on front Bumper, Hood & the Black glossy rocker panels, and my Car is garaged every night

This is definitely the car I would like to get but when it comes to color it is so difficult to choose. I'm one that tends to keep my car for a while.

Portimao Blue: my first choice but also a pretty common color
Thundernight Metallic: Looks sharp and great in the shade but worried it may not age as well over time
Brooklyn Grey: Looks great in sunlight but may seem a bit dull at times in the shade.

I think you can't really go wrong with any of the colors at the end of the day. If anyone else had thoughts on color choices I would love to hear about what swayed you in the end on the color?

the above 3 are only colors I considered.. Love the Dark Purple but I'll leave that to younger drivers along w/the Brooklyn Gray. To me Portimao Blue is NOT common, I have gotten a zillion complements here in Coastal SC the first week. Also, I feel photos do not give it justice, looks much better in person & really pops w/this body style.

Those are my thoughts, I am keeping vehicle for for long time also

Thanks for the feedback! I hope you didn't take it the wrong way when I mentioned blue being "common". I just meant I've seen the prev gen offered in Estoril Blue that it was a bit of refresh to see the BG and dark purple being offered. The Portimao Blue looks great on this car and I do agree with the other reply never too old for any color choice

Agreed! I came from estoril (which I loved) and am blown away by Portimao. Much more dynamic and seems to change a little from every angle!

You should also put PPF on the mirrors.

Also if you have a garage and wash the car yourself consider putting a good quality ceramic coating over the PPF. You can't machine wash ceramic coating and need to use PH neutral car wash products but it does make a big difference.

I'm not doing mirrors.. Shop wanted $900 to add fenders and mirrors

I am going to add a Ceramic Graphene spray on entire car next weekend. leaning towards 303 based on reviews. Don't want a thick ceramic coat on car... will gladly do every 6-12 months. Live in coastal SC with zero snow & car is garaged 24x7

Absolutely love the Blue color & the Black Leather Interior with Alum Trim & HK Audio. Car drives like a dream and fast as shxxx... Took it easy driving home about 90 miles to our Coastal SC Home. Also definitely RWD bias, didn't feel like I was driving an AWD Vehicle, love the transmission and used both manual modes a few times. Like the HUD feature also, really cool.

Yes black vinyl on the roof, it's all blue paint besides sun roof otherwise.

I will say if PB was offered on the Z4, I would have chosen it over the Frozen Grey Metallic. That blue is a few shades too light for me.
