Yeap, probably. According to this lawyer some other states may allow it. It would depend on how the law is interpreted. I have no time or energy to find out. Going the safe route anyways.

For those of you interested in exhaust...

On the G82 forums Valvetronic finished their equal length setup which sounds epic and I'm sure performs better than stock. This is their response to my question: awesome news.

I wonder how much of a difference it would be considering its very similar in size and the drive train is the same. Probably minor tweaks if any

I would like an equal length midpipe that deletes the resonator yet retains the stock muffler instead of a full cat back exhaust. Hopefully Valvetronic, Active Autowerke or some other aftermarket vendor comes out with one.

I also have no intention of using aftermarket downpipes. The exhaust stinks, there's a risk you could fail your emissions test and sonically I find them annoying AF.

From the sounds of some of these clips...I'm happy that this car may not need any exhaust mods. Save me some money.

The irony is BMW could have had my $$$ as well as I'm sure yours if they just had a MPE that didn't cost an arm and a d!ck and wasn't so stupid looking.

Very true. If it were $2600 like the M340, I'd be on my build right now.

I'm not a fan of farts and bangs. I do however love high pitch / high strung inline 6 sound (E46 anyone). I wasn't "looking" for an exhaust upgrade, but this is the direction I was hoping an aftermarket solution would go.

Valvetronic Designs You now have your work cut out for you in the G87 forums

I built a sweet Royal Enfield cafe racer late '21 and had this single side exhaust made by Tec that once fired up gave that raw smell but sounded so sweet. I actually kind of liked it, but my primary care physician thinks I'll pay for it down the road

Has anyone looked at the IND catalog for G87? On pages 12 and 13 there is a laundry list of Alpha N carbon body parts. Splitter, hood, front quarter panels, trunk, side skirts, full underbody, and diffuser. Price is pretty high but I'm pretty excited to see the weight savings and looks.

This exactly + tint, I already got a quote and prospective dates. If only I could bend time a bit.

Other than that, gotta figure out what to do with that fugly front plate placement.

I was told to bring it that afternoon of PCD, they’ll do the tint that day and the PPF the next day. One extra night needed at The Marriott.

This is changed.

I'm working with Richland Forged and will be sporting their new wheel model based on the M4 GT3R wheel.

I'm also working with Valvetronic Designs and will be sporting, at a minimum, their G87 equal length mid-pipe.

I'm also considering that Future Classics short shift kit and a CDV delete.

Dang, very similar , I was thinking about going minimal, but now I'm also considering pretty similar stuff plus some reasonable way to lower the car, possibly HAS since the roads here are really rough 4ish months of the year. Only other thing I'm thinking a wing that's exactly like the mperf one but not cf. (Goin for the e36 look).

I've got the Richland forged link bookmarked and figured I'd call the 3-5 prospects (all have a similar look to the ones you are getting) once I have an allocation. You are a few months ahead of me though since you found that hea.

Gonna keep an eye on your project since we seem to be going similar routes.

Wanted the mperf exhaust and HAS, but once I saw the price for mperf exhaust and found out the suspension couldn't be port installed I started thinking of what I want to do instead.

I'm sort of hesitant with the HAS kits. The adjustability seems nice but they just add weight and I'll probably never adjust it.

After dropping some weight on the front I may just get custom springs that are more suited to the car and offer a minimal 10-15mm drop.
