I really wish the media or someone would call BMW out more on why they continue to not offer individual paint or more paint options for the M2. I would love for BMW higher ups to officially address it.

I suspect the automotive press feels it is not worth getting blackballed for?

It wouldn’t hurt for someone to ask them why they do it. I mean look at their competitors , they don’t have an issue offering more colors for their vehicles that are in the same league as the M2. Mercedes, Audi, etc. clearly doesn’t worry about the RS4 or CLA45 encroaching on their next tier of vehicles so what exactly is it?

I'm late to the party... Been away from BMW for a few years, but this new M2 has me intrigued. I've purchased a couple of BMW's from the Tulsa dealership (noticed your location). Inquired last night and was told by Tom that they have 6 names down on the waitlist already. He said it might take 2 years to get that kind of allocation (if ever during the potentially limited production cycle). Curious what you're hearing and if there are any larger dealerships in the region that might be worth contacting.

Thanks in advance.

Hey boss, Last year I asked to be placed on any list for the M2. They took my name and number.
In June, early June, they called and said the first two people didn’t pick up the phone so I can be first on the list if I placed 1k down. They also guaranteed MSRP.
Late Oct/early last month, I gave my sales guy Dylan my spec and he said they are just waiting on allocations now.
I’ve also been a customer at BMW Tulsa for quite some time. I was told April to May for potential delivery

It's so frustrating to hear you have to wait two years for a car at a reasonable price as a true enthusiast, while some jerk will just roll up to the dealership and dump 10-25k ADM to get a dealer spec car just to be the first.

Incorrect information. The G87 M2 is currently scheduled for EOP (end of production) in 2029. Production will be far from limited, duration wise.

I believe this "Fran" guy is in France, so maybe this info applies to U.S., or then again, maybe it doesn't.

Meanwhile mine just keeps saying "I'll let you know as soon as we have any info, but I suspect you'll know before we do"
