That's a lot of customization options - from the looks of it, they decided with Aus to pack all cars with most of these options and charge a higher base price as standard - not sure if its a good or bad thing. Apart from paint, wheels and brake calipers, the only ad-on here is the carbon package (seats, speed increase, voucher etc which again has all been packaged into the one upgrade option).

I have a question to you as a BMW salesrep. Is there a specific code for custom ordering (like a three-digit code) that you are aware/can look up?

When I ordered my E90, I had to pay a one-time fee that opens up all kinds of customization with their application fees. Back in 2008 is was around 400 CAD. It allowed me to select a nonstandard paint (4,500 CAD), interior trim (Piano Black real wood 1,000 CAD) and adaptive headlight delete (no fee).

Just wondering if there is such a code. I know that nonstandard paint will likely not be available. However, I would like to explore other customizations like getting the top headlight w/o the ZPP (premium package). Headlights are 500 CAD and the brochure stipulates the required ZPP (3,100 CAD). I do not want any of the ZPP gizmos.

My build is almost $76K. Wow! What is live cockpit pro? Now I am really considering holding out until better color options. Paying 76K for a color you somewhat like will be hard to justify. Really have to see the red in person for this car.

Times sure have changed. I got my OG M2 in 2016 for 10k less than what this car car starts at.

X3 option code - Full Merino leather…seems misleading as it appears that only the existing leather is swapped for Merino…

Full Leather generally refers to areas covered in Merino leather that is not standard. From pics I don't see any additional areas covered in leather (like dash, center console, doors).

Am I mistaken?

It seems like with the Carbon package you can choose either X3 or X3MM, with X3 being more things covered in Merino Leather and X3MM being more M color stuff (and probably what people have spotted in the cars shown off to-date).

It's actually pretty much exactly a 1:1 change when accounting for inflation... crazy

https://www.amortization.org/inflati...2016&amount=52

EDIT - considering we won't actually get this car until 2023 and inflation hasn't slowed it's actually going to be even lower, in 2016 dollars.

$75,000 with carbon pack and most necessary options for a manual is steep. Kind of explains why F87 M2 CSs have starting mooning to space (EAG been getting sales around $130k USD recently).

I was hoping they'd offer a Mexican version of European delivery, that would have been an awesome excuse to go south of the border.

Me: Honey, I have to go to Mexico so I can pick up my new car. I'll be gone for a good week, love you!

My spec (in sig) will be right around 65K. A bargain if you ask me.

True when accounting inflation but the problem is most salaries didn't get inflated at the same rate.

Speak for yourself lol. Joking aside, real wages aren't :that: far behind, only a couple percent slower than inflation. If you haven't secured a new job with a healthy raise in the past couple of years with the great resignation and the tight labor market then you kind of shot yourself in the foot (or are in an unusually low demand field).

I have the same order in at the moment sans the lightning package. If I switch to AW/black M highlight combo, I am looking at sub-$64k. I consider that a great value for today's market. Adding $10k (or %15 extra cost) for the carbon pack, not great value in my opinion but to each their own obviously...

Oh and also, do we know what the parking package adds yet? Backup assist and AEB for rear cross traffic for the manual transmission is my guess but no description is in the ordering guide...

Agree. Lot of money for an entry-level M car.

Touché lol.
I'll rephrase: my salary didn't get inflated at the same rate. Maybe it's time to change my field of work but I love what I do.

BMW would never provide the standard insurance due to the high crime rate. An other issue would be the customer driving across the border and the customer now being the importer compared to the good old ED days that BMW was the still the importer. I highly doubt a U.S. based insurer would insure Mexico ED cars

Just do PCD then.
