Figure it's a good time to revive this thread

Boston area MSRP order - was told I was #2 at my dealership but I got the first allocation, they were always a bit cagey about my place in line or so not entirely sure what the deal was:

Deposit Placed: 4/4/22
Received an allocation: 2/28/23
Production Week: 16 (4/16-4/22)

The BMW genius person said it can take 4-6 months from production time to delivery, from what I've heard on here that seems like a very conservative estimate, hoping for a June delivery.

I ASSume you meant 4-6 weeks? NFW it's gonna take 4-6 months from production, barring some stop sale or other clusterfarkle.

Nope, she said 4-6 months, I don't know if that was a slip up or not but I spoke it back to her and she said it was correct. I just assumed she was being extremely pessimistic but maybe she meant weeks and misspoke twice.

Lol it wasn't the CA, it was the BMW Genius hotline, my CA said he didn't know the production week so I called the genius hotline to find it out.

Even worse.

It can be hit or miss via the Genius hotline. Your CA will always have the most up-to-date and accurate info pertaining to your order. It takes very little effort on his part.

I think I have week 16 US. I'm not entirely sure.

My CA sent me this

Sub. Req. Prod: 2023/04/14
Conf. Prod: 2023/04/16

I'm not sure what sub req prod is, but I'm assuming conf prod is the confirmed production week

I’m also a Boston area order with the same production week. My SA estimated delivery in May

Whats the usual turnaround to go from 111 to 112?

Edit: I’m guessing there haven’t actually been enough G87 orders placed for there to be a “usual” turnaround

Week 15 for me. When I ordered my M240 last year my production week was the first week of April and it delivered in the 3rd week of May so if this holds up then it should be around late May delivery if no unexpected delays.

Update for mine, I emailed the genius line to try to see if there was any update since my status moved from "Order Received" to "Scheduled For Production" on the tracker.

They said that I am now scheduled for production week 15, so we moved up slightly

. Also happens to be the week of my wife's birthday, which is fun.

Mine was order Mid December 2022.

Is now at status 112 for production to commence on June 23rd. So, production week 25.

PW-Werk is 14/04/23 So 14 April - week 15 I was week 20!
Status is 150 on 13/03/2023
