I would firstly get the car and see if you like it stock. This isn't exactly a race car and shouldn't really be treated like one. It's a fun street machine that you can track. Taking out creature comforts to make the car look more racey doesn't really make sense. Even if you track it, will you care if you saved 1.5 seconds a lap if you drop like $4K on seats and took away the heating functionality?

If weight truly is an issue, you don't want to start with any CLAR based BMW. They are all grossly overweight and under braked.
